Physiotherapy Department

Physiotherapy is a treatment method that focuses on the science of movement and helps people to restore, maintain and maximize their physical health. Amba Health Centre & Hospital have a ‘holistic’ approach of treatment as we are patient oriented. So our team of experts will chart a course of recovery for each patient in coordination with other departments for accurate results. Our expert therapists work together to focus on each patient and make them independent. We aim to make each dependent or immobile patient independent and mobile. Our aim is to take the patient on a journey of healing from "pain to NO pain" and from "immobility to mobility".

Orthopaedic / Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation

This treatment is for a wide range of medical as well as surgical orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, joint replacement surgeries, spine and posture therapies, fractures, painful muscular and body disorders as well as strains and sprains.

Mobilisation therapies

We have hands-on multiple techniques including mulligan techniques to improve joint function and reduce pain.

Paediatric Physiotherapy

We have gentle and child-friendly (play way method) therapies to address paediatric developmental issues like natural defects, injuries and delayed development.

Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

We provide specialized care to enhance heart and lung function through various methods. It helps strengthen your heart post bypass surgery.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VTR) is an exercise based treatment program designed to promote vestibular adaptation and substitution. The aim is 1) to enhance gaze stability, 2) to enhance postural stability, 3) to improve vertigo, and 4) to improve activities of daily living. Our targeted approach is to restore balance and alleviate dizziness and all techniques are tailored to treat patients as per their needs.

Geriatric Physiotherapy

We provide special care and exercises for elderly patients to regain the muscle strength, balance and coordination needed to improve their overall mobility and level of functioning. We aim to make patients independent so they can perform everyday tasks without any help.

Post-surgery Rehabilitation

We create a specialized rehab course to re-establish muscle strength and joint function, prevent respiratory and vascular complications and increase mobility to make patients confident after their surgeries.

Rehabilitation for ICU Patients

We have rehabilitation methods to help ICU and bed-ridden patients to regain their physical abilities and independence.

Sports injury

We help athletes recover from injuries, reduce the risk of re-injuries and improve overall function
